Iran's President Raisi killed in helicopter crash confirmed after 18 hours.

 Ebrahim Raisi, born on December 14, 1960, is the current President of Iran, having taken office on August 5, 2021. Before his presidency, Raisi held several significant positions within Iran's judicial system, including Chief Justice from 2019 to 2021. He is known for his hardline conservative views and close alignment with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.


Raisi's political career began early, and he has served in various roles since the 1980s. He was involved in the 1988 mass executions of political prisoners, a period that has remained controversial and a focal point for criticism of his human rights record. Raisi has also held roles such as Attorney General of Iran, Deputy


Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash on May 19, 2024. The crash also claimed the lives of Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several other officials. The helicopter went down in heavy fog in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran.
